Staff
Ruth graduated from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, IN with a BA in Theology and a minor in psychology (December, 1977). She was consecrated as a Deaconess in January 1978 and is a commissioned/rostered worker in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. She is also trained as an Active Parent Educator. Ruth has served in a variety of settings as staff and volunteer: Lighthouse Home for Boys, Lutheran Retirement Village in Northwest Indiana, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Portage, Indiana, St. John’s Lutheran Church Champaign, Illinois, Liaison to Ae Ran Won, a home for battered women and unwed mothers in Seoul, South Korea, and Lutheran Church of the Master, Phoenix, Arizona. Ruth is married to Scott and has three children: Caleb, Annaliese and Gretchen and three grandchildren, Dillon, Harmony and Hayden. She began serving at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in November 2001 as the Director of Family Life.
