By leaving an estate gift to Trinity Lutheran Church, you are helping men, women, and children who are not even born yet to have a place to hear the Gospel, receive Christ’s Sacraments, and grow in faith. This is a loving action that helps make disciples and proclaim the Gospel long after we are gone! It is a way that we have now to help Trinity Lutheran Church be strong, stable, and secure in the future! Some specific ways available to you are:
Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church receives, manages, and distributes funds for scholarships, improvements, and special mission ministries. After this fund grows to a $1,000,000, the interest will start to be used for these special areas. This is a major emphasis in our second “50” years as a congregation as this endowment fund will help those who worship at Trinity long after each of us!
“Advancing the Gospel” Capital Campaign
The Advancing The Gospel Capital Campaign is our long term effort to pay down the debt on our campus and facilities. We currently have an agreement with the Lutheran Church Extension Fund that 60% of our Advancing the Gospel funds are used for debt and mortgage principal reduction, and 40% is used for current campus and facility maintenance needs. A gift here blesses us now and in the future!
General Fund
Funds given to the general fund will help support the current ministry that our congregation is engaged. A gift here will allow us to continue to make disciples who are biblically literate, doctrinally sound, mission-minded, and passionately engaged in the Kingdom of God.
Undesignated Large Gift
If you mark your gift as an Undesignated Large Gift, it will be used to both support current ministry while having a provision for the future ministry of our congregation! There is a Board of Director policy that governs these large gifts so that it is best utilized for our needs here at Trinity.
To help with your estate planning and giving, we have partnered with Mr. Brian Hyde, Sr. Gift Planning Counselor with the LCMS Foundation. We are hoping that every family at Trinity will prayerfully consider going through the Estate planning process with the LCMS Foundation. EVERYONE needs a will or trust! It promises to be a rewarding experience by bringing fresh, experienced, and knowledgeable eyes to your estate plan.
The cost of this is FREE to you. There is no fee for you to work with the LCMS Foundation. It is a unique and wonderful opportunity for you to review or create a godly estate plan that reflects your faith and your love of Christ and His Kingdom. For more information, or to set up an appointment with Brian, call 1.209.613.2125 or email him at brian.hyde@lfnd.org.
Thank You for investing in the future of our congregation; we pray that the Lord will bless this congregation and allow it to faithfully make disciples until the Lord returns on the Last Day!
