We look forward to seeing you this Friday and Saturday, April 21-22, 2023 for a phenomenal Bible Seminar titled “Walking Backward to Bethlehem: How Christ Permeates the Old Testament”  led by Chad Bird, an LCMS-trained, seminary professor-caliber teacher who is with 1517.org

There will be a fabulous charcuterie board on Friday night, a wonderful breakfast & beverage bar Saturday morning, and delicious Carrabba’s Italian Grill catering our Saturday lunch to wrap up the event!

Bring your Bible & wear your nametag! Extras of each will be readily available throughout the event.

What to Expect:

Friday • 6:30pm-8:30pm
Doors open and refreshments are available beginning at 6pm.

• Session 1: The Layered Bible that Jesus Read
Chad Bird begins with a discussion of how the Old Testament builds upon itself, image upon image, and story upon story, to point to Jesus.

Saturday • 9am-12pm
Doors open and continental breakfast & beverages are available beginning at 8:30am. Lunch to follow.

• Session 2: Appearances of Christ in the Old Testament
In this second session, Chad Bird discusses something rarely acknowledged: actual, physical appearances of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament.

• Session 3: New Creation and New Exodus
In his third session, Chad Bird discusses an "Old Testament accented" way of preaching the Gospel: the people of God exiled and welcomed home.

• Session 4: Christ as the New Tabernacle
Chad closes with a proclamation of the Good News of God in Christ from Genesis to Revelation...literally. In Jesus, God comes to be with his people.
