And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Today is ALL about Christ the Lord!

When the Bible says that Jesus is Lord; or Lord Jesus Christ, it is teaching us that Jesus is God Himself. He is God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God. It’s a full divine title, and with it comes the full divine power and authority of God Himself.

Today, hear this good news and believe it!

God is telling you the truth about Jesus; He promises that your sins are forgiven and that you have eternal life. You are included in the promises of salvation! Jesus took your sin and your guilt to the cross! You are considered holy and righteous in God’s sight! Faith makes it personal: you know and you believe that these things are true, and that you yourself are included.

Everything about today is about Jesus, who is Christ the Lord!
• The Scriptures proclaim it
• The Angels declared it on that first Christmas night
• And we sing about it in our Christmas carols and hymns
