We are in the Epiphany season of the Church Year. This is a time when we learn that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God so that we might believe in Him and have everlasting life. During this time of the year, we hear His teaching, and remember His miracles, both of which confirm to us that He really is the long-awaited Messiah of the Old Testament times: He is the Christ, the Son of God.
One of the most fundamental and important confessions of faith is that Jesus is the Christ, the long-awaited Old Testament Messiah, the one anointed with the Holy Spirit to be the Savior of the world.
That same Holy Spirit has been given to you through faith, so that you confess that Jesus is the Christ, bear witness to Him in your life, and live according to His Word. Amen!
