The Book of Galatians contains one of the most powerful gospel statements in all the New Testament. It’s this verse: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

Because of Jesus, God no longer remembers your sins nor holds them against you! Because of Jesus, you are declared holy, perfect, and righteous in His eyes! Because of Jesus, you are given God’s love, approval and acceptance as a free gift!
• Everything you were supposed to do; Jesus did.
• Everything you were supposed to suffer, Jesus suffered.
• Anything God required of you, Jesus fulfilled for you.
And now you are set free!

You are now loved and accepted by God; you are brought into God’s family! Your sins have been paid for by Christ’s death on the cross! You have rest for your soul! You have peace with God! You are set free from the burden of earning your own salvation!

St. Paul teaches us to stand firm in the freedom that we have in Christ.
• Stand firm, then, in Christ and His salvation for you.
• Stand firm, and live in the freedom Christ has given you!
