June 15, 2025 • Called by the Means of Grace

We are always using the Means of Grace as we wait for the Lord to return. The Means of Grace keep us focused on Christ our Savior. Abiding in Christ means using the Means of Grace.

• Holy Baptism was not just a 10 minute ceremony a long time ago in your life. Holy Baptism is an ongoing reality for you: it is a daily reminder that you are in a perfect relationship with God the Father, that your sins are forgiven by God the Son, and that God the Holy Spirit lives and works in and through you.

• Holy Scripture is the voice of Christ in your daily life. In Scripture you hear the promises of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. In Holy Scripture you are called to repent of your sins; Scripture proclaims the forgiveness of your sins in Christ, the Son of God; Scripture encourages and strengthens you in faith; and Scripture teaches you want a holy life in Christ looks like.

• Holy Communion is the regular reminder that Christ lives in you and you in Him, as He gives you His very Body and Blood and bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins. Holy Communion is the sign of God’s love for you, this is the place of forgiveness, this is where we demonstrate fellowship and friendship with each other.

Until the Lord returns, or we die in faith, we Abide in Christ. We live in the net of the gospel; we are always engaging the Means of Grace to grow and strengthen our faith.

Today may you Abide in Christ
Faithfully engage the Means of Grace
and consider yourself a Fisher Of Men
to the people in your life!

Amen!
