You are probably familiar with Psalm 23, and perhaps it is one of your favorites Psalms: “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…” It’s a well-known Psalm of King David that brings great comfort to God’s People. In fact, you probably have most of it memorized because you have heard it so many times! “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want…”

In the Gospel of John, we hear Jesus teach us about this, and He says that He Himself is the Good Shepherd!
“I AM the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. John 10:11

Today, may you hear the voice of the Good Shepherd in Holy Scripture and trust that he laid down his life for you so that you can be a part of His Flock. Amen!
